Selected policy-making and policy development activities

  • As an active member of the Business Law Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), Mrs Moulon-Atherley was recently involved in the Drafting Committee of the Securities Regulation Committee in preparing the Comment Letter to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on proposed amendments to Rules Governing Communications to the Public, Notice 17-06. 
  • As an active member of the Business Law Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), Mrs Moulon-Atherley was recently involved in the Drafting Committee of the Banking Law Committee in preparing the Comment Letter to the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) proposed Part 504 BSA/AML Regulation.
  • As an active member of the American Bar Association (ABA) International Law Section, Mrs Moulon-Atherley is a member of the Investment Treaty Working Group Task Force and is involved in co-authoring a Report relating to the proposed EU Investment Court System.
  • As a member of the Banking Law Committee of the Business Law Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), Mrs Moulon-Atherley was involved in advising the New York Department of Financial Services (DFS) in formulating the Consumer Bill of Rights under the amended New York Foreclosure Law. The opinions expressed therein were solely her own.
  • In showing support for the Caribbean Policy Research Institute (CaPRI), Mrs Moulon-Atherley recently prepared a report on Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation towards the Think Tank's policy-making / policy development activities.
  • As an active member of the Banking Law Committee of the Business Law Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), Mrs Moulon-Atherley recently spoke on the New York Department of Financial Services (DFS) Cybersecurity Rules/Privacy Shield as it affects New York businesses using EU data. 
  • Mrs Moulon-Atherley recently authored a report entitled "Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation" and submitted it to the Caribbean Policy Research Institute (CaPRI) for publication. The report addresses the requirement for Caribbean governments to create tangible policies and practices so as to ensure legal ownership of intellectual and industrial (IP) rights ownership by Caribbean natives with the view of securing transfer of technical knowledge and driving local innovations. The report includes a set of useful tools to be used as drivers for an innovation-driven economy.
